Tea FAQ
Ceylon tea questions.
The questions we hear most from importers and brand owners.
What is Ceylon tea?
Ceylon tea is tea grown and manufactured in Sri Lanka, the country formerly known as Ceylon. It is known for bright, brisk black teas and is produced in seven main regions at different elevations.
Which tea grades can you supply?
Orthodox grades such as BOP, BOPF, FBOP, OP and Pekoe, CTC grades such as BP1 and PF1, dust for tea bags, plus green tea, silver tips and flavoured blends.
What is the minimum order for bulk tea?
Bulk tea usually starts from one pallet per grade. Full container loads get the best pricing. Tell us your volume and we will confirm availability.
Can you pack tea under our brand?
Yes. We pack tea bags, pouches and cartons to your artwork in Sri Lanka. 100% Ceylon tea packed in Sri Lanka can carry the Tea Board Lion logo, subject to approval.
How do you keep tea consistent between shipments?
Every order is locked to an approved reference sample. Each lot is cupped and moisture-tested against that sample before packing, and results are recorded in the Lot Passport.
